PAUL I. WASSERMANN, M.D.
Dr. Paul Wassermann was the founding oncologist of Scottsdale Medical Specialists, joining the group in 1974. He is originally from Utah, graduating from Utah State University. He earned his medical degree from Cornell Medical College in 1969. He completed his residency and his Medical Oncology Fellowship at Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. In addition to his practice at Scottsdale Medical Specialists, Dr. Wassermann was the Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Maricopa County General Hospital from 1974 to 1977. He has continually been an active member of various state and county cancer organizations. Dr. Wassermann's main areas of interest are Blood disorders, Myeloma, and Lymphomas. He is also an avid train collector, photographer, and a devoted family man.

PATRICK J. DONOVAN, M.D., F.A.C.P.
Dr. Patrick Donovan joined Scottsdale Medical Specialists in 1984. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He completed residency training at Michigan State University, and the University of Nebraska. He trained in Medical Oncology and Malignant Hematology at the University of California San Francisco. He is a member of both state and national cancer organizations, and represents the state of Arizona at the American Society of Clinical Oncology Clinical Practice Committee. He has been Chairman of the Cancer Committee at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn for several years. His main areas of interest are Breast Cancer and Malignant Lymphomas.

AURELIO C. TIRO, M.D.
Dr. Aurelio Tiro is a native of the Philippines, receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the University of the Philippines in 1968. He completed his residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, and his fellowship at Northwestern University Medical Center. Dr. Tiro was first licensed in the state of Illinois. He established a private practice in Hematology, Oncology, and Internal Medicine in Illinois, practicing there from 1976 to 1991. While there, Dr. Tiro held Chairmanships of the Department of Medicine and The Medical Committee at MacNeal Memorial Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois and Walther Memorial Hospital in Chicago. In 1992, Dr. Tiro moved himself and his family to Scottsdale, joining Scottsdale Medical Specialists. He was Chairman of the Cancer Committee at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn from 1994 to 1996. He is an active member the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Tiro's main areas of interest are Lymphomas and Clotting disorders.
